Adopt a Spaniel / Mixed (long coat)

Spaniel / Mixed (long coat) Dog

Roxy the Dog needs a home

This is Roxy. We think she is a spaniel mix about 3 years old and weighs about 30lbs. February marks Roxy's first time being able to safely focus on herself; her own health and happiness.

She came to our rescue months ago after being neglected, abused, and abandoned on the street. She tested positive for heartworms, Ehrlichia and Lyme disease. All are treatable diseases, but more importantly, preventable!

Roxy had damage to her front leg and was unable to use it. X-rays show that her leg healed incorrectly after a break and that she has previously been shot!  To top off everything this poor girl has been through, once we got her comfortable in her foster home, we discovered she was pregnant!

Her focus then shifted to her babies for two months until they were ready to leave the nest and find their own families. She has now fulfilled her motherly duties and can return her focus to getting better.

She's looking for a quiet home, with a loving, patient companion to help her recuperate.  She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Roxy is also being treated for her diseases. Follow her story on our facebook page (www.facebook.com/k911foundation.com), or, if you feel your home is the one for her, fill out an application at www.k911foundation.com! View all of her photos on our website as well.
